How to prepare for your Autism assessment

This video is LONG (1 hour and 22 minutes) and detailed, but very useful for overcoming masking skills that you’ve learned from your early life, right through to adulthood. Those skills can interfere with the way that a clinical psychologist observes your behaviour — which is one of the main indicators that helps them assess your Autism (ASD) or Asperger’s Syndrome (ASx).

IMPORTANT: Make sure you’re being assessed by a Clinical Psychologist, which requires at least a Master’s Degree or Ph.D in psychology — anything less than this qualification may mean that they’re unable to legally make a diagnosis of either ASD or Asperger’s Syndrome (ASx).
