Personal Control 101

The Quest for Control Over Our Own Lives

By John Counsel

This concept applies to all human beings — but especially to Aspies. We tend to have an intense aversion to not having control over our own choices and thoughts. Adding a PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance — or, as I prefer to call it, Pervasive Desire for Autonomy — or as Lynne sees it, Pestilential Demand for Autonomy) seems to exacerbate this trait exponentially!
